Central Illinois Manufacturing Company Chooses Mainsaver
SAN DIEGO, CA, March 28, 2012 - Mainsaver® Software, a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) solution provider announced the successful installation of their product at the Central Illinois Manufacturing facility located in Bement, Illinois. Mainsaver replaced the Infor MP2 product and multiple databases for the Cim-Tek © product line. When asked to comment on the choice of Mainsaver, a Central Engineering Manufacturing spokesperson replied, “The only vendor that could match product functionality, value proposition and support responsiveness to their marketing pitch, bar none, of the vendors we invited to bid”.
The Mainsaver CMMS product replaced a mix of 200 access databases, Excel spreadsheets and MP2 data containing the company’s asset information and maintenance history. This data was seamlessly consolidated, migrated and integrated into the Maintenance, Inventory and Purchasing modules of the Mainsaver CMMS product. Central Illinois Manufacturing also chose to install and deploy the Web Work Management, Dispatch with Shop Floor optional modules.
Central Illinois Manufacturing, founded in 1956 by a professional engineer named A. Richard Ayers, developed a product called the "Pre-Vent". The "Pre-Vent" is a fill cap with a pressure and vacuum release that reduces evaporation in gasoline storage tanks and helps maintain the quality of stored fuel. Mr. Ayers needed a place to manufacture his new product, so he founded Central Illinois Manufacturing Company (CIMCO). Over 50 years later, the "Pre-Vent" cap is still being manufactured by CIMCO. In 1958, the "Clean-Flow" filter was introduced to the market. It was followed by a "Gas-O-Line" series, now known as their 200 line. Later CIMCO established the trade name "Cim-Tek Filtration".
