Shop Floor / Dispatch Module

Mainsaver Shop Floor Module
Keeping shop floor equipment running smoothly is critical to your company’s profitability. That’s why it’s so important for maintenance and production personnel to have a quick and efficient means of coordinating maintenance activities. The optional Shop Floor Module allows managers outside the maintenance department – for example, production supervisors and quality control managers – to create and view maintenance work orders. Because of its proven ability to streamline work order processing, reduce equipment downtime and increase overall shop-floor productivity, the Shop Floor Module was honored with the Plant Engineering Product of the Year Award.

Paperless Management
Like other Mainsaver software components, the Shop Floor Module supports paperless work order processing that completely eliminates the delays and hassles of paper-based systems. All work orders are continuously tracked and updated, making the Shop Floor Module an excellent tool for monitoring the up-to-the-minute status of maintenance work orders. It’s also designed expressly for the information needs of the maintenance environment with minimal data entry, easy-to-read screens, intuitive navigation and factoryfriendly touch-screen or light-pen input.

A Powerful Production Tool
From their PC desktop, production supervisors can add work orders and view the work queue. Unplanned equipment problems noticed on the shop floor can be handled quickly using the Brief Work Order Add function. Different menus for production users and maintenance personnel offer appropriate functionality to each group.

Shop Floor Simplicity
Workstations located on the shop floor make it easy for maintenance work orders to handle most common administration tasks without returning to the maintenance department. If the employee is currently scheduled for a work order, the Quick Start function takes the user directly to the work order’s start screen. If the Quick Start function is not selected, technicians can view open work orders, record work progress, review job details, search the asset’s maintenance history, issue parts, add brief or full work orders, and close work orders online. Users retain full access to the named functions when Quick Start is selected.
