Adjusting Comments Area on the Printed Work Order
Challenge:
Provide additional space for Work Requested or Corrective Action on the Printed Work Order.
Methodology:
Sometimes the printed copy of the work order does not have enough physical space in the work requested or corrective action areas to display all of the verbiage added to a work order. If this is the case, Mainsaver now provides the ability to simply adjust the size of these areas. To change the size of these individual areas, perform the following:
1. Navigate to System Administration > Application Switches > Work Order Tab
2. On the Work Order Tab, there are 4 settings that control the number of lines and line length of the Work Requested and Corrective Action sections of the printed work order. These are given below with their explanation.
a. Number of Lines for Work Request to be printed – Specifies the number of lines in the Work Requested section of the printed work order
b. Number of Characters for each Work Request Line – Specifies the number of characters (length of lines) for the lines in the Work Requested section of the printed work order
c. Number of Lines for Corrective Action to be printed – Specifies the number of lines in the Corrective Action section of the printed work order
d. Number of Characters for each Corrective Action Line – Specifies the number of characters (length of lines) for the lines in the Corrective Action section of the printed work order

Benefit:
The Work Order can be modified to provide additional printed area and better meet the needs of the operation.
